Pothole Repair – Appell Striping of Ohio
When repairing potholes, our goal is to create a smooth, durable surface while preventing further deterioration of the surrounding pavement.
We begin by evaluating the affected areas and marking the square footage to be repaired, which is clearly documented in the estimate. On-site, we saw-cut around each pothole to remove loose material and eliminate weakened or failing edges. This step helps create a clean, defined repair area and improves the longevity of the patch.
Once the damaged asphalt is removed, hot mix asphalt is installed within the saw-cut area, leveled to match the surrounding pavement, and properly compacted to ensure a solid, traffic-ready surface. The result is a clean, uniform repair that restores drivability and improves overall lot appearance.
While saw-cut pothole repairs are an effective solution for localized damage, they are considered a maintenance repair and are best paired with ongoing pavement maintenance to extend the life of the parking lot.
